Anindya Datta, Ph.D.

Founder, CEO, Chairman, Mobilewalla

Anindya Datta is regarded as a leading technologist and innovator, with core contributions in best-in-class large-scale data management solutions and internet technologies. Mobilewalla has pioneered audience measurement in mobile apps by applying groundbreaking data science techniques on the industry's largest volumetric database of mobile app data. Prior to Mobilewalla, Anindya founded and ran Chutney Technologies, acquired by Cisco Systems in 2005. Anindya has also been on the faculties of major research universities and institutes in the United States and abroad, including the Georgia Institute of Technology, the University of Arizona, the National University of Singapore, and Bell Laboratories. Anindya obtained his undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, and his MS and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Jay Clark

COO & Founder, Mobilewalla

Jay Clark brings more than twenty-five years of experience to Mobilewalla in leading global technology organizations through hyper-growth, transition, and turnaround environments. He has built and inspired teams in multiple geographies including North America, Western Europe, Southeast Asia and India.


His career spans the small product startup, mid-size and large multi-billion dollar company enterprises - privately held and publicly traded. Prior to Mobilewalla, Jay held global leadership roles in EDS, Syntel and CGI including sales, delivery, niche acquisition and full operational responsibilities


Jay believes the ultimate success of any worthwhile venture is fully attributed to the team that is assembled, and then inspiring them to do great things. He holds a degree in Management Information systems from the Tennessee Technological University College of Business Administration.

Scott Jacobson

Managing Director, Madrona Venture Group

Scott joined Madrona in 2007 and currently serves on the boards of Haiku Deck, Indochino, LUMO BodyTech, RewardLoop, and Yieldex, and is a board observer for AdReady, Animoto, BuddyTV, Decide, Mercent, Optify, Redfin, Sewichi, and ShopIgniter. Scott also served on the board of Jambool prior to its acquisition by Google in 2010."I was attracted to Madrona because of the firm's partnership approach to investing. As an early-stage investor, we are truly rolling up our sleeves and partnering with the entrepreneurs we back on a day-to-day basis. We really do invest a lot of ourselves in our companies." Scott is particularly interested in consumer web, digital media, and mobile technologies that present opportunities for major disruption of large, established markets.


Prior to joining Madrona, Scott worked at Amazon.com, where he held senior product and business management positions in the Amazon Kindle and Amazon Marketplace groups. He led several key initiatives, including the international rollout of Amazon's Merchants@ platform. Earlier in his career, Scott was a Senior Consultant in Accenture's strategy consulting practice, where he worked with clients in enterprise software, retail, and energy sectors.


Scott graduated cum laude from Northwestern University, where he received his bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics. He received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.

Venkat Raju, based in Bangalore, is an active angel investor and also serves as a mentor and advisor to his investee companies. His current investments cover a wide spectrum spanning Cloud Computing & SaaS, Big Data & Analytics, Mobility & Payments, and next-gen E-commerce. Yet there is a common theme - all of these companies have innovative technologies with disruptive business models and/or launching products with potential to scale globally.


Venkat is an accomplished entrepreneur and seasoned executive with strong business, technology, and general management credentials. Most recently, he served as the India Country Head and Managing Director for ACI Worldwide inc., a leading global payments solutions provider. He has held several roles including as - an Entreprenuer (CEO & Founder of startups backed by Kleiner Perkins, Benchmark Capital etc. in Silicon Valley), an IT Executive (Managing director & VP positions at Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank) in Wall St, Product Executive (GM & SVP PRodits at VerticalNet in San Francisco), Cheif Technologist (Cheif Architect for British Telecom in London) and as a Management/Strategy Consultant (owner of a boutique firm focused on Cloud computing & Saas in New York).


Venket has deep domain expertise in several verticals including High Tech and Financial Services. He is well connected to the wider technology, analyst and venture community in the U.S, and Wall Street. He has lived and worked in three continents, has led global teams and has a strong understanding and appreciation for various cultures. His interests include Public Policy, International relations, Global Finance & Politics. He is an alum of Boston University (Management & Business) and Indian Institute of Science (Electrical & Electronics Engineering).

Boris Gutin

Managing Director, GCP Capital Partners

Mr. Gutin is a Managing Director of GCP Capital and has been a member of the GCP investment committee since December 2009. Mr. Gutin joined Greenhill Capital Partners in 2003. Mr. Gutin has over 17 years of private equity investment experience.


Prior to joining GCP, from 1999 to 2001, Mr. Gutin was an Associate at American Securities Capital Partners, a New York-based middle-market private equity fund. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Gutin was in the principal investment area (merchant banking) and leveraged finance group of Goldman, Sachs & Co.


Mr. Gutin has led 9 and been a member of the investment team of approximately 20 completed private equity investments while at GCP. Mr. Gutin focuses on financial services, financial technology and business services. Mr. Gutin is currently a Director of TransFast, ClearView Risk, CoastalSouth Bancshares, First Mariner Bank, Radius and is a board observer on Zeta Global. He was formerly a director of Acrisure, Continental Bank, Eastern Virginia Bank, Hercules Offshore and Ironshore. Mr. Gutin is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University (1996) and Harvard Business School (2003).
